There is actually a common misconception that sniffing coffee beans can reset your sense of smell. While it is true that coffee has a strong, distinct aroma, it doesn't actually have the ability to "reset" your sense of smell. In fact, sniffing coffee beans after smelling several fragrances can just add another scent to your already overstimulated olfactory receptors, making it even harder to differentiate between scents.

The best way to overcome olfactory fatigue is to take a break from smelling fragrances and give your nose a rest. You can step outside for some fresh air or take deep breaths. Smelling your own skin, such as the inside of your elbow, can also help, as it provides a neutral scent for your nose to focus on.

In conclusion, while coffee beans may seem like a quick fix, they are not a solution for resetting your sense of smell. Taking a break and allowing your nose to rest is the best way to overcome olfactory fatigue.

Improving your olfactory sense, or sense of smell, may require some dedicated effort, but it is possible with practice. Here are a few ways you can do so:

Smell different things: Try to expose yourself to a wide range of scents, both pleasant and unpleasant. Pay attention to the different scents you encounter throughout the day and try to identify them.
Practice mindfulness: When you smell something, take a moment to focus on the scent and try to identify its different components. Try to associate a scent with a specific memory or feeling.
Use scent games: Play games that test and improve your sense of smell, such as trying to identify different spices or perfumes.
Exercise your nose: Just like any other sense, the more you use your sense of smell, the better it will become. Take deep breaths and try to identify as many different scents as possible.
Avoid olfactory fatigue: Our sense of smell can become fatigued if we are constantly exposed to the same scents. To avoid this, take regular breaks from strong scents and try to change up the scents you encounter throughout the day.

Remember, it takes time and practice to improve your sense of smell. But with persistence and effort, you can train your nose to become more attuned to different scents.

Read books and articles: There are many books and articles on perfumery and fragrance creation, including history, science, and techniques. Here at our studio, we have access to such materials.
Stop by our workshops—each and every day, we host a perfume-making class. Buy her a gift certificate; it's a fantastic idea! Your teen will benefit greatly from interacting with professionals in the field and gaining practical experience.
Join a perfumery community: Your teen can join online communities or forums dedicated to perfumery. This is a great way to connect with others who share the same interests, ask questions, and get feedback on their creations.
Experiment: Finally, the best way to learn about perfumery is to start experimenting with different scents and fragrance combinations. Your teen can start by making their own simple perfumes and experiment with different combinations to see what they like best.

Encourage your teen to be patient and persistent, as learning about perfumery takes time and practice.

As much as possible, we always prefer to use high quality natural components. By chance, Indonesia is one of the biggest suppliers of natural raw materials for the Perfume industry. In addition to using natural ingredients, we also incorporate products from white biotechnology into our perfumes whenever possible. We believe that this cutting-edge approach to fragrance-making is the future of the industry, and we are excited to be at the forefront of this movement. By using microorganisms like yeast and bacteria to ferment natural raw materials, we are able to create unique and sustainable fragrances that are unlike anything else on the market.

Sometimes, and only when natural products are not available, we need to create blends using a combination of naturals, synthetics and natural isolate molecules to reproduce the smell of an individual ingredient or an olfactory impression, this is especially true when it comes to creating fragrances that mimic the scent of animals.

We understand that some of our clients prefer to utilize only natural products. We maintain openness regarding which ones are natural and which ones are not. You have complete control over your perfume creation, including which notes to include or exclude.

We understand the importance of creating a unique fragrance for your brand.

Unfortunately, as you may be aware, our core purpose is to offer custom sensory experiences for our guests to immerse themselves in the shoes of a real perfumer, and not to create perfume development for commercial purposes. The process of creating a perfume is a long and complex one that can take several months, and this does not align with our purpose and capabilities.

However, as an alternative, we do offer discounted prices for minimum order purchases of the perfume creations that our guests create during our workshops. This is a great opportunity for you to experience the process of fragrance creation and to create a unique scent that represents your brand.

The certificate you will receive at the end of your workshop is merely a souvenir to commemorate the time spent with us. We are not a training institution or a school and do not offer certification in perfumery.

At our Seminyak location at the TS Suites hotel, the workshop is available from 10am to 6pm. On the other hand, at our Nusa Dua location at the Grand Hyatt Nusa Dua, the workshop is available from 10am to 7pm.

The difference between the two workshops lies in the theory part. During the 3-hour workshop, we will provide a comprehensive introduction to some of the most beautiful Indonesian ingredients. You will have the opportunity to experience their essence through touch and smell in the context of well-known perfumes. We will also delve into the history, facts, and science behind perfumery.

In addition to the theory part, the 3-hour workshop also includes the 90-minute workshop as the second part. During this time, you will get to apply your newfound knowledge and create your own personal scent.

To ensure that you have an enjoyable and relaxed experience, we have scheduled a break time in between the two parts of the workshop. During this time, you will have the opportunity to savor an authentic Indonesian snack and juice.
